Overview:
We are seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist with advanced GI skills (ERCP required; EUS preferred) to provide locum coverage in Pennsylvania. This role supports inpatient GI care during the day with 24/7 call responsibilities, working alongside an established locum for shared monthly scheduling.
Assignment Details:
- Inpatient GI + procedures
- Monday–Friday: GI Lab (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Saturday–Sunday: Inpatient call + consults
- Weeknight Call: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- Weekend Call: Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
- 15–20 patient census going into the weekend
- 5–7 weekend procedures
- EMR: Epic
- Note: Conscious sedation capability strongly preferred. If not, procedures go to OR queue (anesthesia not always available in GI lab).
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active state license or IMLC (PA license strongly preferred)
- ACLS + BLS required
- ERCP required; EUS preferred
- Minimum: 1 week/month commitment
