Job description
Locum gastroenterology coverage needed in a fully outpatient setting. Provider will perform colonoscopies, EGDs, and a variety of GI procedures with dedicated support staff.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform 14–16 procedures per day
• Procedures include:
o Colonoscopy & EGD (primary)
o Upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser for bleeder, varices injection
o Esophageal dilation/manometry
o Small bowel biopsy
o Lower GI Endoscopy
o Flexible sigmoidoscopy
o Colonoscopy with biopsy & polyp excision
• Work collaboratively with CRNAs, RNs, and techs (each room has full dedicated staff)
• Complete accurate EMR documentation and charting
Qualifications
• Active state medical license (IMLC with LOQ acceptable)
• Experience performing a wide range of GI procedures
Working Hours
• No call responsibilities
Skills
• Strong communication and teamwork in an outpatient setting
• EMR documentation skills
