Job description
Seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for outpatient locum coverage. Role focuses on endoscopic procedures with no call responsibilities. Candidate will work alongside CRNAs, RNs, and techs in a well-supported environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic interventions including:
o Upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy
o Foreign body removal
o Fulguration of bleeders (cautery or laser)
o Injections of varices
o Esophageal dilation/manometry
o Small bowel biopsy
o Lower GI Endoscopy
o Flexible sigmoidoscopy
o Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Document patient care in Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with CRNAs, RNs, and tech staff.
Qualifications
• Active state medical license or IMLC eligibility.
• Credentialing completion within 45 days of paperwork submission.
• Proficient in a wide range of GI endoscopic procedures.
