We are seeking a Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist in Texas.

Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: 24-hour call coverage (includes rounding + procedures, with 4 hours gratis)
Start Date: 1/1/2026
End Date: Ongoing until permanent placement
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient only
Responsibilities: In-house and ER consults, rounding on up to 10 patients/day, procedures as needed
Required Procedures: Endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCP (required)
EMR System: Paragon (switching to EPIC in late 2026)
Support Staff: Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff; anesthesia available (conscious sedation preferred)
Days Per Month: Must be available for more than 1 week per month
On-Call/Weekends: Yes (24-hour call, including weekends)
Submission Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology – Required

Texas Medical License – Required

Gastroenterology Fellowship Training – Required

ACLS Certification – Required
