$2900/Day Gastroenterology Locums w/ ERCP – Inpatient-Only | Full-Time Blocks in Lufkin, TX | Travel Covered

Looking for a high-paying, inpatient-only GI locums assignment in East Texas? We’re seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist with ERCP skills for a full-time locums role in Lufkin, TX. This opportunity includes comprehensive malpractice coverage, paid travel and lodging, and a competitive daily rate of $2,900 for 24-hour call.

🔍 Position Highlights:

• Location: Lufkin, TX

• Setting: Inpatient only (no clinic work)

• Start Date: January 1, 2026

• EMR: Paragon (switching to EPIC in late 2026)

• Shift: 24-hour in-house call

• Rate: $2,900/day (Call) + Paid Travel/Lodging

• ERCP: Required

• Full-Time Need: Will consider 2 providers alternating full weeks

• Blocks Required: Must be able to cover 2+ weeks/month (No one-weekers)

🏥 Responsibilities:

• Inpatient consults and procedures only (no outpatient)

• Approx. 10 patients/day with procedures as needed

• Case mix: GI bleeds, abdominal pain, SBO, food bolus, ulcers, gastritis, possible carcinoma (diagnosis only)

• Rounding included

• Hospitalist team admits all patients

• GI-trained nursing staff support

• Conscious sedation preferred; anesthesia backup available

✅ Requirements:

• BC/BE in GI

• ERCP experience required

• TX license

• ACLS certification

• Clean malpractice and disciplinary history preferred

• Must list how many weeks per month you're available
