Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology in Petoskey, MI

We are currently looking for a dedicated Locum Physician specializing in Gastroenterology to provide exceptional care in Petoskey, MI. Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license to practice in Michigan
  • Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Proven experience performing ERCP procedures
  • Strong clinical skills in outpatient and inpatient Gastroenterology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR system

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience working in hospital-based clinics
  • Ability to handle a high volume of outpatient (up to 18) and inpatient (up to 20) scopes daily
  • Familiarity with hospital support services such as onsite lab and X-ray

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Gastroenterology
  • Prior locum or temporary assignment experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Open availability on specified dates starting August 13, 2025
  • Active BLS/ACLS certifications preferred
  • Ability to work independently with support from hospital staff
  • Willingness to perform ERCP procedures as required
  • Comfortable using DocTime for clocking in/out; no paper timesheets
  • Be prepared for onsite coverage from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no night or weekend calls
  • Travelers are responsible for transportation and lodging, with expenses capped at $150; lodging must not be booked through third-party websites
