Patient Population: Adults
Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based acute care
Responsibilities: Daytime hospital consults and procedures, overnight call coverage from 5 PM to 7 AM
Required Procedures:

Lower GI Endoscopy
-
Sigmoidoscopy
-
Colonoscopy
-
Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
-
Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
-
Small Bowel Biopsy
-
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
-
Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
-
Upper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser bleeder fulguration, varices injection/banding, ERCP, PEG)
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Full hospital support at Level 2 trauma center
Days Per Month: Alternating weekly coverage with another provider
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call with weekends included as part of rotation
Submission Requirements:

Board Certification – Required

NJ License or willingness to obtain – Highly preferred

Proficiency in advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS) – Required

Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred

Comfortable working in a Level 2 trauma center – Required
