• On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call; 7a - 7a

• Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: Average 12 patients per day
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Gastroenterology; procedures only required for emergent situations (EUS and ERCP preferred but not required)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Emergent GI procedures as needed (EUS and ERCP preferred but not required)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license required (IMLC accepted)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA
• Boards: Board Certification in Gastroenterology
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for gastroenterology services.
• Perform emergent GI procedures as required.
• Manage inpatient consults and follow-ups for gastroenterology patients.
• Collaborate with hospital staff including RNs, NPs, and anesthesia teams.
• Ensure accurate documentation within Cerner EMR.
