Locum to Perm Opportunity: Physician - Gastroenterology

Join a dedicated team at a prominent healthcare facility in Des Moines, Iowa, seeking an inpatient locum to perm Gastroenterologist. This position covers hospital-based services with opportunities to perform a variety of procedures, including ERCP and, preferably, EUS. Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage with hospital-based services.
• Perform 3-4 outpatient procedures daily, alongside inpatient procedures and consultations.
• Be on 24-hour call, from 7 AM to 7 AM.
• Work with an electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically Cerner.
• Collaborate with a skilled healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be interested in a locum to perm position.
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within three years of residency.
• Active Iowa medical license or IMLC.
• ACLS certification required.
• Must be willing and able to work in an inpatient setting.
• ERCP knowledge and skills are essential; EUS is highly preferred.
• Current COVID vaccination is mandatory.
• Clean malpractice and background; a Self-Query NPDB must be pulled within the month at the time of submission.

License and Certification Requirements

• Current and valid Iowa medical license or IMLC.
• ACLS certification.
• ERCP proficiency required; EUS skills are highly favored.
• Verification of clean malpractice and background records.
