- Other Details: Gastroenterology providers are needed for a schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with off-site evening call and occasional return for emergencies. A minimum 6-month block is required, with the option to extend. The role involves working in a hospital, outpatient clinic, and freestanding GI center, handling 100% adult cases. Providers are supported by a team that includes 5 other physicians, 9 mid-levels (6 inpatient/3 outpatient), an OR team, and CRNAs at the ambulatory surgery center. Required procedures include upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy, esophageal dilatation and manometry, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with polyp excision, and small bowel biopsy.
