Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a hospital-based locum assignment in Macon, Georgia. This is a 24-hour call role with a manageable patient volume and flexible scheduling options. Great opportunity for providers comfortable with general GI procedures and hospital rounding.
Location: Macon, GA
Start Date: November 1, 2025 (flexible)
Schedule: 24-hr call (7 AM – 7 AM) | Prefer 11-day blocks per month
Pay Rate: $2,700–$2,800/day
Callback Rate: $475/hour
Contract Length: 3+ months
Employment Type: 1099 – Locum Tenens
Position Overview:

Mix of rounding and procedures during the day; call at night (low volume)

No ERCP required (but optional if experienced)

General GI procedures only

Support: 1 GI physician onsite, no APPs

Approximately 35 patients per month

Schedule is flexible — 11-day blocks preferred but not required to be consecutive

Can work 8 hours weekdays and 4 hours on weekends
Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Active GA license preferred; IMLC candidates accepted

Credentialing: ~120 days
