- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 10 patients per shift and 20 beds in the department. A General GI Hospitalist is needed to provide coverage on a 7-day rotation, ideally with one provider working a week-on, week-off schedule. The role involves managing routine, bread-and-butter GI cases with no EUS or ERCP required. Anesthesia/MAC support is available for procedures, and conscious sedation can be used if the physician is comfortable with it. Typical shift hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or earlier, depending on patient census, followed by pager call. The facility has 170 licensed inpatient beds, including 24 ICU beds, with 24/7 internal medicine hospitalist coverage and board-certified emergency physicians available at all times.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage bread-and-butter GI cases (no advanced procedures required)
* Perform GI procedures with anesthesia/MAC support
* Take pager call after regular shift hours
* Collaborate with hospitalists and emergency medicine providers
Qualifications
* Active and unrestricted medical license
* Comfortable working independently in an inpatient setting
* Ability to manage routine GI cases without EUS or ERCP
Working Hours
* Daily shift hours: approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (may vary by census)
* Pager call coverage required after shift
