Job description
Looking for a solid locums GI Hospitalist role where you can actually breathe between cases? This 310-bed hospital is seeking coverage from a BC Gastroenterologist who enjoys a mix of procedures and inpatient rounding — all without getting slammed at night.
They prefer someone who can commit to an 11-day stretch each month (Monday–Friday the following week), but they’re totally flexible. Want to split the days? Not a problem. Want to stack them all together? That works too. They’re provider-friendly and understand how locums life works.
Job Responsibilities
Shift: 24hr call, but your daytime is 8 hours Mon–Fri and ~4 hours on weekends
Volume: ~35 patients/month
Support: 1 GI on staff. No APPs. You’re the go-to.
Procedures: All general GI. ERCP not required but you’ll be loved if you do it.
Nights: Typically quiet, just the occasional bleeder.
Qualifications
Active state license OR IMLC eligible
DEA required
Willing to license if you’re IMLC qualified
Working Hours
Contract Length: 3+ Months
Shift Schedule: 7am–7am (24-hour call), rounding/procedures during the day
Credentialing: ~120 Days (IMLC Welcome!)
