Gastroenterologist - Jackson, MI
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Varied schedule + 1:6 call (including weekends)
Healthcare Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive GI care, including inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, rounds, and procedures
- Perform endoscopy and ERCP (proctoring available if needed)
- Work collaboratively with in-house APP support and subspecialty teams
- Engage in teaching opportunities through the local GME program (optional)
- Participate in hospital coverage and rotational call schedule (1:6)
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must become BC within 1 year)
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
- ERCP certification or willingness to receive proctoring
- Active or eligible Michigan medical license
- Clean malpractice and license history
- COVID and flu vaccination are required
- 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred
- ITIL or PMP certification preferred
- Open to H1B candidates (J1 not accepted)
- Must be able to commute within 1 hour or relocate (no long-distance commuters or dual-job arrangements)
