Permanent Position: Physician - Gastroenterology in Atlantic City, NJ

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI program.
• Create an academic GI division focused on research and education.
• Expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures.
• Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide expert consultation and management of complex GI cases.
• Drive collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care.
• Ensure consistent endoscopic block time and manage referral volumes.
• Mentor and foster workforce development.
• Engage with underserved communities to enhance access.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required).
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license (or willing to obtain).
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain).
• DEA and CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain).
• Experience in program startup or leadership as chief or medical director preferred.
• Open to experienced gastroenterologists only (no new grads).
• No acceptance of candidates requiring visa sponsorship or those with a history of malpractice outside of limitations.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology - REQUIRED
• Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license - REQUIRED
• Valid BLS certification - REQUIRED
• Valid ACLS certification - REQUIRED
• DEA certification - REQUIRED
• CSR/CDS certifications - REQUIRED
• Malpractice history disclosure and documentation required.
• Proof of COVID and flu vaccination compliance required.
