Position Overview
- Work approximately 8 hours per day on-site.
- Evaluate 5-10 hospital consult patients daily with varying endoscopy needs.
- Night call with 5-10 call-backs per month, no admissions.
- Patient focus: Adult only.
Work Schedule
- Coverage needed for 2 weeks per month in a one-week-on, one-week-off pattern.
Patient Encounters
- Expected 5-10 patients per shift.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
- ACLS certification required.

Required Skills
- Upper GI Endoscopy:
- Biopsy
- Foreign body removal
- Fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser)

Lower GI Endoscopy:
- Colonoscopy
- Biopsy
- Excision of polyp
