Rate: $4,200 per 24-hour call

A major hospital in Des Moines, Iowa is in urgent need of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for inpatient 24-hour call coverage. This is a critical, high-priority role starting June 16, and coverage will continue on an ongoing basis.
This assignment offers excellent compensation, full travel and lodging coverage, and the opportunity to support a dedicated team in a well-equipped hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities
24-hour pager call (7a–7a) with potential call-back
Must be comfortable with inpatient work, consults, and procedures
ERCP – Required
EUS – Highly Preferred, but not mandatory
Daily duties include 3–4 outpatient procedures, inpatient procedures, and consults
Adult-only patient population
EMR: Epic
Qualifications
Iowa State License
ACLS Certification
ERCP skills
EUS experience – Highly Preferred
Clean malpractice and background – Required for quick credentialing
