- Other Details: The facility which is trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover beeper call only. There are an average of 20 patients per shift. The facility is seeking 20 weeks of inpatient gastroenterology (GI) service coverage through 7-day assignments, running from Thursday at 5 PM to the following Thursday at 5 PM. Each assignment includes 24-hour on-call responsibilities, inpatient consults, rounding, and performing inpatient procedures. The current practice consists of three full-time GI physicians, and the goal is to maintain a 1-in-5 call rotation. Locum providers will be essential in covering 2 out of every 5 weeks annually while the facility actively recruits permanent replacements.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage 24-hour on-call duties, including phone consults and in-hospital responses
* Perform inpatient GI procedures as needed
* Conduct daily rounding and consults on hospitalized patients
* Collaborate with the permanent GI team and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
* Active medical license in the practicing state
* Experience with inpatient GI procedures and hospital-based care
* Comfortable working independently within a hospital setting
Working Hours
* 24-hour on-call coverage during each assignment
* Total of 20 weeks of coverage needed
* Part of a 1-in-5 call rotation, covering 2 out of every 5 weeks annually
