Practice Setting

Schedule
- One 7-day stretch per month, structured Monday-to-Monday coverage
- 24-hour hospital call during the assignment block
- Scheduled endoscopy time: half-day block(s) in the endo lab
- Clinic coverage: typically 2-3 half days during the week
Cases and Procedures
- Rounding and consults as they arise
- Scheduled and emergent GI procedures
- Required procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Typical volumes: clinic averages 3 patients/hour; half-day endo block averages 8 cases/day
Support Staff
- Clinic support includes 1 PA plus either 1 LPN or 1 MA
- Endo team includes 1 RN, 1 CRNA, and 1 tech
- Inpatient consult support from an NP Monday-Friday (7am-1pm), including initial consults while you're in endo or clinic
Requirements
- MD/DO Gastroenterology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years)
- South Carolina license required
