Gastroenterologist Position in Jackson, MI

Join a dynamic team at the Jackson Division of Gastroenterology! We are seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification to enhance our vibrant GI program. Our facility boasts a supportive staff and a hospital-owned endoscopy center located on the hospital campus, ensuring seamless patient access. Experience teaching opportunities through our GME program and work in a setting that prioritizes collaboration and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage rounds and clinic visits
• Handle an average patient load one day a week with the support of APPs
• Participate in case management and provide quality care through established protocols
• Engage in educational opportunities and mentorship within the GME program
• Maintain knowledge of best practices and organizational policies
• Participate in a call rotation of 1:6, inclusive of weekends

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
• Clean malpractice and license history
• 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred
• ERCP certification (consideration for additional proctoring available)
• ITIL or other industry certifications are preferred
• PMP certification is preferred
• Proximity to larger cities adds value to your experience

Licenses and Certification Requirements:

• Current MI state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA prior to start
• CSR/CDS before beginning employment
• Current COVID and flu vaccinations (unless exempt)
• Visa support available for H1B candidates only; J1 sponsorship not available
