Job Opportunity: Gastroenterologist in Jackson, MI

This is an exciting opportunity for a Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification. Here, you will be supported by a comprehensive team that enhances patient care and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including rounds and clinic responsibilities.
• Assist in addressing growth needs and fill a replacement position.
• Manage an average patient base, supported by APPs in clinic and hospital environments.
• Contribute to a team-focused approach to gastroenterology in collaboration with the Henry Ford Medical Group.
• Utilize a hospital-owned endoscopy center and outpatient clinic for patient accessibility.
• Participate in teaching opportunities through the GME program.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned, adapting to the needs of the facility.
• Maintain knowledge of current business practices and healthcare issues.

Qualifications:

• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology.
• Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within one year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
• Experience: 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred.
• ERCP certification; candidates needing additional proctoring may be considered.
• Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
• ITIL and/or PMP certification preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Michigan medical license (or willing to obtain).
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• DEA Registration (must be obtained prior to start).
• CSR/CDS Registration (must be obtained prior to start).
• Permanent Placement Fee agreement.
