Job Title: Perm Gastroenterologist – Covington, GA

Overview:

United Digestive’s East Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates is actively seeking dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologists to join our expanding team. Position Summary:

As a Physician with United Digestive, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered digestive healthcare across our medical offices in Conyers, Covington, and Oconee. You will join a collaborative team committed to innovation, clinical excellence, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy, hemorrhoid banding, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and other advanced procedures.
  • Manage an average of 15-18 patients per day, ensuring thorough evaluation and treatment.
  • Participate in hospital call schedules (approximately 1:4), delivering cross-site support as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of 3 MD/DO physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers to deliver coordinated care.
  • Contribute to practice growth through patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to best practices.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advances in gastroenterology.

Qualifications:
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • VMS certification required; candidates who are Board Eligible and within certification window are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory for recent graduates.
  • Must meet all licensure requirements for practicing medicine in Georgia.
  • Candidates previously Board Certified and seeking recertification are welcome (case-by-case consideration).
  • Not accepting visa or locum candidates.

Work Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, to be discussed during interview.
