Join an established well-respected multispecialty group of 150+ clinicians (roughly 100 physicians and 50 APPs/other professionals) that has been caring for its residents for over 100 years. Physician owned and operated. Incoming physicians will be a pre-shareholder for the first 2 years, then they are invited to become shareholders. The shareholder contract is evergreen. Each shareholder owns 1 share; everyone is equal.
Only an hour to Napa and a two-hour drive to the Lake Tahoe area takes you to the highest concentration of ski resorts in the country, with record-breaking annual snowfall and views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
About the Position:
General Gastroenterology
Excellent Physician Retention with some in the group for 20, 30 years.
Great culture– strongly believe in work-life balance
• Fulltime- 40% clinic / 60% OR-Procedures
• Clinic day = 20 scheduled patients per day
• Clinic has procedure room
• 2-3days in OR or ASC
• Average 100-120 procedures per month
• Typical GI procedures: EGD, PEG placement, colonoscopy, flex sig,
• Some ERCP volume available
• 7 days of call per month
• Each physician takes one week of call at a time
• Typical Weekend call- 0-3 consults/procedures per call day
• Weekday call 24 hours, starts at 8 am
• EMR is Cerner
• Additional language skills a plus: Spanish, Punjabi, Farsi, Mandarin
• Diverse patient population / agriculture to college professors
• Hospitalist program manages inpatient care
