Gastroenterology opening in NY Located in Oswego, New York Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join high volume practice. The Center is comprised of experienced gastroenterologists and a robust practice management and support team. The practice is highly integrated and actively engaged in education and teaching within the local and regional academic medical community. Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p (outpatient); currently 1 full time physician and 1 part time physician, would like to add an additional full time physician; 1 full time APP and 2 part time APPs
- Hospital Employed
- High volume practice (physicians see approximately 20 ppd with support in practice; approximately 15-scopes per day and available for inpatient consult when scheduled in the hospital
- Types of Procedures/Cases: Bread and butter GI (screenings, GI bleeds, recall on polyps, etc.); ERCP is a plus; no capability for EUS
- EMR: Meditech
- 7-days of ED call per month are required in base contract (includes 5 weekdays and 2 weekend days); additional weekend coverage (ideally 2 weekends a month) are provided by local private physicians (Friday 7a through Monday 7a); additional week day coverage is ideally covered by local private physicians OR employed physicians and paid at $1,000/night (ED call mirrors the schedule in Endo); typically call is resolved with a phone call and prepped for the next day. Compensation:
- Base: $725,000 guaranteed base salary (potentially more with experience) + production bonuses based on RVU model; RVU threshold: 10,000 and RVU dollar amount: $72.00
- Relocation: Up to $10,000 possible
- Sign-on Bonus: $100,000
- Student Loan Repayment: Up to $10,000 annually (State and HPSA program offerings)
