Job Title: Permanent Gastroenterologist
Facility Overview:
Join a prominent multi-specialty group practice located in Ashtabula, Ohio, featuring over 60 employed providers, including 21 primary care physicians. The facility is a 186-bed acute care community hospital, fully accredited by the Joint Commission, and recognized for its commitment to quality and patient safety. As the only full-service hospital in the region, it serves a population of approximately 98,000, handling around 35,000 emergency room visits and 4,500 admissions annually.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine services.
- See 15-20 patients per day (non-negotiable).
- Collaborate with a dedicated group of 2 gastroenterologists.
- Participate in a high-volume office practice.
- Work alongside an experienced urologist and a fully trained staff supported by an advanced practice provider.
- Utilize blocked time in the operating room.
- Engage with a fully integrated EMR system in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic Health System (EPIC).
- Benefit from a well-defined referral source from employed and affiliated primary care physicians.
- Onsite lab and X-ray facilities available.
- Must reside within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate.
- Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Must have a valid Ohio medical license (or in the process of obtaining).
- BLS and ACLS certifications by the time of employment start date.
- DEA must be obtained prior to starting the position.
- Commitment to residing within a 40-mile radius or willingness to relocate.
- Must indicate if visa support is required (J-1 or H-1B).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required).
- Valid Ohio medical license (or in process of obtaining).
- BLS and ACLS certification (required by start).
- DEA (required prior to start).
