Permanent Gastroenterologist Position in Ashtabula, OH

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ashtabula, OH is seeking a Permanent Gastroenterologist to join our growing multi-specialty group practice. With over 60 employed providers including 21 in Primary Care, you will have the chance to be part of a well-established team.

Our facility is a fully accredited 186-bed acute care community hospital which is recognized for quality and patient safety by various national organizations. As the only full-service hospital serving a regional population of approximately 98,000, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive healthcare offerings, including 5 community-based family health centers.

Job Responsibilities

• See 15-20 patients per day (non-negotiable).
• Provide outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine services.
• Work within a team of 2 physicians.
• Manage a high-volume office practice.
• Collaborate with an experienced Urologist.
• Supervise a fully trained staff, including an Advanced Practice Provider.
• Utilize blocked OR time for procedures.
• Work with a fully integrated EMR system with the Cleveland Clinic (EPIC).
• Receive referrals from our employed and affiliated Primary Care Physicians.
• Access onsite lab and X-ray services.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required).
• Ohio medical license or in the process of obtaining one (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification by start (required).
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days of presentation, required).
• DEA certification must be obtained prior to starting (required).
• Must live within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate.
• Open to J1 or H1B visa candidates.

License and Certification Requirements

• Possess a valid Ohio medical license (or in process).
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• DEA certification.
