A inpatient, outpatient and clinic coverage are needed
for level I trauma.
The facility is located between Kanas City and St. Louis, Missouri.
The inpatient coverage from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., involves rounding, new consults, and emergent procedures such as GI bleeding management. Weekends entail urgent rounds and procedures, often with night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m., requiring proficiency in conscious sedation. Outpatient scopes at the Endoscopy Lab occur Monday through Friday, handling approximately 12-14 procedures daily, while advanced GI work includes clinic time and scoping, potentially including general GI procedures. Clinics are typically scheduled in 4-hour blocks, with a preference for faculty, requiring 2 to 4 clinics per week.
