• 3-4 days of coverage

• Flexible with days
• Inpatient call coverage and rounding (approx 3-4 days per week)

Clinical Details

• Procedures: Colonoscopy/ EGD
• Inpatient
• The other GI physicians recognize that there will be a need for patient handoff
• Work solo
• 100% adults
• No advanced procedures required such as EUS & ERCP

Requirements

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible
• DEA
• Active IL License
• Minimum # years experience: 1
• ACLS, BLS
• CSR
• Required to do colonoscopies/EGD

Call

• In house 4-6 hours then be on call
  • Call can be taken from hotel
• Telephone
• One group and several independent GI physicians who will be sharing call
• Consists of taking GI consults for the assigned day of call and following them through their inpatient stay
• Average admissions while on call: 1
