Schedule:
Hospital is looking for locum Gastroenterology coverage for 2024!
Open dates:
1 week/month (which includes call), starting ASAP
June - rest of the year, potential to move into 2025
Job Details:
Schedule:7-day call coverage and procedural time and 3 days of additional procedural time. Total of 10 days a month.
Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro
Onsite Labs & X-Ray
Outpatient Gastroenterology
Outpatient setting is at the hospital, outpatient scopes Monday through Friday with outpatient scopes starting at 9 to allow for on-call cases to be completed prior (7-9). This can be adjusted, if need be, to allow more or less time for add ons.
Outpatient scopes average 7-9 per day along with inpatient rounding.
Inpatient referrals daily during call coverage. Average of 4-5 new consults per day while on call.
Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: Procedural scope per day 1-8
Average Number of Patients Per Day: 1-15
Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 1-15
Number of Physicians in Group: 1.5 and 2 APC
Around 40-50 procedures during the 10 day period
Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
