Locum Gastroenterologist needed in Maine.

  • Hospital Setting
  • Inpatient GI coverage. 1-2 weeks each month. Call not required.
  • Average Patient Volume – 10-15. Typically, 9-13 procedures done at Endoscopy In clinic – consults are scheduled either for 45 min or 60 and follow ups are 30 min.
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Start date 5/29, credentialing 60-90 days.
  • Support staff: RNs, CNAs, imaging staff, APPs all available on site. Hospitalist available 24/7 for admissions
  • Inpatient required. ERCP/EUS for inpatient and outpatient preferred. Proficient in just general GI is ok. Most of our advanced cases are cancer related, so proficiency here preferred.
  • Will consider licensure in process. Board Certification: Required

Working Hours

Shift Details: 8a-5p. 1. Full time or close to FT would be Some weekend/weeknight call required
Schedule: 1-2 weeks each month. Call not required

Skills

Special procedures: MUST be able to perform ERCP and EUS. Upper and lower conscious sedation mandatory
· Skills required: Inpatient required. ERCP/EUS for inpatient and outpatient preferred. Proficient in just general GI is ok if candidate pool is slim. Most of our advanced cases are cancer related, so proficiency here preferred
