The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Gastroenterology Physician to provide outstanding care to our veterans in Lebanon, PA. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve those who have served our country, delivering specialized medical care within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Ensure prompt and effective communication of test results to providers and patients in compliance with VHA directives.
• Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions, coordinating seamlessly with the next care setting.
• Participate in on-call services for after-hour, weekend, and holiday coverage, with the ability to respond within 15 minutes in emergencies and report to the VA facility within 60 minutes.
Qualifications
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
• Possession of a current DEA certificate.
• Commitment to continuous education and maintaining certification.
Working Hours
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call duties as required, ensuring 24/7 coverage on a rotational basis.
