Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders
  • Develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up care
  • Monitor the progress of patients and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies
  • Administer medications and treatments to patients
  • Educate patients and family members about the diagnosis and treatment process Keep accurate and detailed patient medical records
  • Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited MD or DO program and currently be enrolled in a gastroenterology residency or fellowship program
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to patient care
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
