Overview:
Healthcare United is currently seeking a skilled, board-certified gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team in New Haven County, Connecticut and provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations, obtain comprehensive medical histories, and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to specialists when necessary
- Collaborate with management, fellow physicians, and staff to enhance care delivery and service quality
- Ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements, working closely with practice management
- Perform endoscopy procedures at center
- Call rotation is 1 in 4

Qualification:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO)
- Board certification in Gastroenterology is required, or board eligibility for new graduates
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or the ability to obtain one
- Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate
