Location: New Haven County, Connecticut

Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient

Overview:

Healthcare United is currently seeking a skilled, board-certified gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team in New Haven County, Connecticut and provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient care

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations, obtain comprehensive medical histories, and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
  • Facilitate appropriate referrals to specialists when necessary
  • Collaborate with management, fellow physicians, and staff to enhance care delivery and service quality
  • Ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements, working closely with practice management
  • Perform endoscopy procedures at center
  • Call rotation is 1 in 4

Qualification:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO)
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology is required, or board eligibility for new graduates
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or the ability to obtain one
  • Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate
