Seeking BE/BC Gastroenterologists for General, Advanded & IBD opportunities with team of 3 advanced endoscopy providers. The Gastroenterology division is comprised of over 30 gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and advanced practice providers all committed to providing compassionate, high quality, patient focused care.
Interested candidates should have completed a 4th year fellowship in advanced endoscopy, as well as training and/or experience in performing therapeutic endoscopic procedures including EUS, ERCP, endoluminal stenting, Barrett’s ablation, and other advanced procedures such as management of complex colonic polyp.
Compensation & Benefits
- Providers see approximately 35,000 outpatients per year for a wide variety of GI and liver related problems including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, biliary tract disorders and diseases of the pancreas, colon cancer, and disorders of the esophagus.
- Physicians also perform approximately 25,000 procedures annually, including over 2,000 advanced procedures performed with anesthesia in a state of the art endoscopy unit.
- Many of the Department’s physicians are frequently recognized in local and national publications as among the best in their field.
- The Division offers a collegial and supportive environment in which providers feel their efforts are recognized and valued.
- The GI Division also has an ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program and an advanced endoscopy fellowship program, with staff physicians holding academic appointments at UMass Chan Medical School. Staff gastroenterologists have the opportunity to interact with fellows, residents and medical students, and to teach at UMass Chan if so inclined.
