JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hospital in Texas is seeking a GI physician to work collaboratively with the current general surgeons and assist with reestablishing our GI service line. Generous compensation package to include base salary guarantee, wRVU bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, student loan repayment assistance, along with stipends for early commitment while in training
About position:
Covering one hospital
Primarily an adult and geriatric patient base
No clinic call requirements
Call schedule: 10 days/month (includes 1 weekend)
Dedicated clinic and surgery days
ERCP is not required but a plus
HOSPITAL:
Medical Center has just over 150-beds, includes acute care, critical access and behavior health services. A healthcare leader in the community for 65 years, the hospital hosts many services including state-of-the-art diagnostics, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Patients have access to advanced technology including a new $1.5 million MRI and Interventional Cath Lab. There is also an 11,500 ft. birthing center with a Level II Nursery, and over 20 other surgical specialties.
In addition, we offer a center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, as well as a Sleep Disorder Center and Home Health services. The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, located at the West Campus, offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy services for those 18 years and older with two distinct units (adult and geropsych) staffed by a team of medical professionals including two psychiatrists.
COMMUNITY:
This area is located 45 minutes to Tyler, and just under 2 hours from both Dallas and Waco, and there is a regional airport with several airlines for convenience. There is seemingly endless outdoor recreation with multiple lakes, trails, hiking, parks, playgrounds, and splash pads.
