Family Medicine Opportunity - Meridian, MS (Mini-Metro, Short Drive to New Orleans, Atlanta, Gulf Coast)

Join Rush Health Systems network of Family Practice Clinics located throughout East Central Mississippi and West Alabama. Our network has over 25 Rural Health Clinics and 7 hospitals. Physicians have the unique opportunity to create the practice they want...whether it is strictly outpatient or a blend of outpatient and inpatient. Details of multiple opportunities are included below:

The Rush Medical Group of Livingston, AL is seeking a BC/BE Family Practice Physician to join its team. Opened in 1982, the clinic has been serving the community for 38 years. A new physician has the unique opportunity to serve a busy outpatient practice. It is currently staffed with two NPs. Livingston, the county seat of Sumter County, is centrally located in West-Central Alabama between Tuscaloosa, AL (55 miles) and Meridian, MS (33 miles). It is the home to the University of West Alabama so there are many young professionals living in the area. The city is full of historic landmarks and beautiful scenery, including Lake LU, located on the university campus, where the public can enjoy fishing and boating and surrounding nature trails.

Choctaw Urgent Care in Butler, AL is seeking a family practice physician for its outpatient practice, as well as seeking someone to round on his/her patients in the hospital down the street-Choctaw General. The clinic currently has one physician and one NP. Butler is located about 45 miles Southeast of Meridian, MS and has a population of close to 1,900 people. It is a lovely, small, rural community with a great hospital and a tenured team. Once you visit, you will fall in love with the warm friendly staff and the family environment -Choctaw's administrator who has been there for 40 years! And the hospital has an excellent cafeteria. Choctaw General Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access facility. Built in 2012, the hospital provides inpatient care, swing bed care, an emergency department, and inpatient and outpatient X-ray and lab services. The hospital sees on average 8,000 annual visits to its ED. New services include a chronic vent unit and telemedicine. *We staff this hospital with physicians in the ED as well so you have the opportunity to do shifts here for additional pay if you would like.

Rush Medical Group, Primary Care, in Meridian, MS is seeking a family practice physician for a traditional practice or for an outpatient only practice.
