Cross Country Locums is looking to assist our client partner in Arizona with Urgent Care PRN local coverage at surrounding clinics within 1-2 hours of Phoenix area. Examples include: Gilbert, Liveen, Peoria Happy Valley, Litchfield Park, Surprise, and Scottsdale. The hourly pay structure is $105 an hour and no travel expenses will be reimbursed above and beyond that. Ideal candidate will be local within 1 hour of clinics. Multiple clinic locations in the region.
Client has high preference to Board Certified Physicians in Family Medicine, and the ability to see all ages is a requirement. Age range of patients is cradle to grave.
Also a high preference to physicians that are comfortable with Occupational Medicine or those that are able to prescribe to Medicare patients if need be.
In general the client will review physicians from the following training backgrounds and completion of a residency is mandatory: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care. General Practice only if 8-10 year work history in Primary Care. No matter the training, the work is all ages for the patients, and that is highly relevant due to the fact that the Locum might work as the solo physician on the day with other support staff.
Clinic hours run from 8a-8p, Monday thru Sunday. Physicians might be called for shifts as short at 4 hours or for full day coverage as well.
Dates are resolved once a physician is approved by the location.
Other necessities:
Ability to read X-rays on site.
Ability to manage basic Urgent Care procedures: Suturing, Lacerations, Derma bonds, In-grown toenail removal, injections, drug screen collections, ability to write RXs
Ability to perform proper coding/documentation for each patient with EMR
Clean and active license, DEA, NPI # all required.
Must present any past malpractice claims: dismissed/settled to the client at time of presentation from agency.
