Central Texas will see a new Hospitalist program beginning June 2016. Seeking Family Practice Hospitalists that are available for 2-10 shifts per month or more in the Austin/ San Antonio metro area. Both day and night shifts avail; current TX license and DPS required.
Site details include:
Beds – 170
ICU Beds – 10
Open ICU
Charting – EMR
Trauma Level – IV
Schedules – Day 7a-7p; Night 7p-7a
Ave patient encounters: 14-18 per shift (includes admissions)
Required procedures: Central Lines, Intubations, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis. Lumbar Puncture for both Day and Night coverage
ACLS required
Codes/Rapid Response - * Yes* but waiting to get more details
Specialties represented: FP, IM, Card, Ortho, GI, Cath Lab, Neuro *Pulmonology available for call/consult
BE/BC - Internal Medical/Family Practice accepted
