We are looking for a full time Family Physician for our expanding primary care network. Because of the growth in primary care needs, we see the need to utilize Family Nurse Practitioners to keep up with the population needs. The challenge is finding seasoned NP’s. At the same time there are many eager new graduates who would love an opportunity to form a better base with a training program and strong mentorship. We are looking to develop and launch a training program that will include working with medical students and new NP graduates for two years to help them develop their skills and formulate more confidence in family medicine. We have growing rural practices in Greene & Columbia County, NY.

  • Seeking a Board Certified Family Practice Physician
  • Outpatient ONLY
  • The applicant would be part of a large group practice but in a small satellite office within a large hospital owned multispecialty group.
  • You will enjoy an excellent collegial environment with seasoned, well respected Nurse Practitioners and/or experienced Physicians working side by side.
  • You would be part of an active Ambulatory department that meets regularly to collaborate and shape the direction of our quality goals. There is outstanding specialty support
  • Facility Description: Small rural practice sites with adequate support staff.
  • See an average of 2-2.5 patients per hour. Depending upon the hours worked each day the daily volume would change. It also varies with the volume of new patients which often take longer. Obviously, we would expect less as you would be spending time precepting
  • Call: Outpatient phone call only. On average 1:8-10. Phone call only and weekends are from 8 am Friday until 8 am Sunday. Typical weekday call averages one phone call per shift.
  • Reason for Recruitment: Developing a new program
    As soon as you are able, but we can be flexible.
