Location: Langley AFB (Hampton), VA
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday for 8 hours between 0600 - 1830 (except holidays)
Qualifications:
• Degree/Education (5.2.4): Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Experience: HCW must have 1 year experience working with children and adults in a Family Medicine setting within the past 36 months
• Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): Additional: Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
• Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant as required for all 50 U.S. states and territories
HCW Duties (5.1 Task 1): The duties for the HCW are as follows:
• Familiarity with unique military operational needs is desirable.
• Knowledge of electronic health records and healthcare-related forms is necessary.
• Performs pre-employment physicals, and sports physicals
• May become the primary care manager for a panel of patients. As a PCM, HCW's will be the primary person responsible for the management of the health and wellness of assigned patients.
• Answering patient telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff.
• Draft Medical Evaluation Board Narrative Summaries, prepare forms required by patients or for military-specific needs.
• Competency and currency in pediatrics is highly desirable
