This Senior Care Physician opportunity in New Port Richey, Florida is built around a high-touch model designed specifically for adults 65+, giving physicians the time and support to manage complex health needs, strengthen long-term relationships, and deliver proactive care focused on better outcomes and quality of life.
Position Highlights
- Monday through Friday clinic schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Patient panels intentionally capped at approximately 500
- Average of approximately 12-13 patient visits per day
- 45-minute new patient visits and 30-minute routine follow-ups
- Dedicated time for care coordination, same-day needs, and hospital follow-ups
- Phone-only call rotation approximately once every 6-8 months
- Opportunity to help establish and grow a new New Port Richey senior care center
Practice Environment
- Physician-led primary care model focused exclusively on adults age 65+
- Relationship-based approach emphasizing prevention, chronic disease management, and healthy aging
- Patients consistently see their physician rather than being shifted between advanced practice providers
- Approximately three Medical Assistants per physician
- Dedicated MRA coder plus centralized billing and medical records support
- Center Manager and regional clinical operations resources supporting day-to-day care
- eClinicalWorks and Epic platforms, with continued transition toward Epic
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation with base salary, review bonus, and clinic performance bonus

Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related primary care specialty
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
- Primary care, managed care, or value-based care experience, or completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Genuine interest in caring for older adults and managing complex health needs
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to coordinated care
- Experience with Medicare Advantage or value-based care preferred
- Commitment to preventive medicine, quality outcomes, and lasting physician-patient relationships
