Locums – Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, Primary Care Physician Job (IMLC Welcome)

LOCUM TENENS – PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN, SAULT STE. MARIE, MICHIGAN

AVAILABILITY:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: 9 months expected

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Clinic hours: Approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Approximately 36 patient-facing hours per week

• Clinic setting; no call

LICENSE:

• Michigan medical license required

• IMLC candidates will be considered

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• BLS required

EXPERIENCE:

• MD/DO required

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience

• Primary Care experience required

• New graduates may be considered with residency training documentation showing relevant experience within the past 12 months

• Other candidates must demonstrate care for at least 10 adult inpatient/outpatient cases within the past 12 months

CLINICAL DETAILS:

• Primary care outpatient practice

• Target volume: 2+ completed visits per clinic hour

• Appointments generally 30 minutes or less

• Typically supported by 1 MA or LPN

• Additional support includes referral team, prior authorization team, and RN navigators

• EMR: EPIC/Dragon

LANGUAGE:

• English proficiency required; native or bilingual proficiency
