Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Mason City, Iowa. This is a home-based practice model conducting scheduled in-home health evaluations across a multi-county coverage area. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: home health — in-home member evaluations
- Coverage area: Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hancock, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth, and Wright Counties
Job Responsibilities
Perform a medication and medical history review at each visit
Complete a physical evaluation in the member's home
Document each encounter on a pre-populated, patient-specific evaluation form
Complete approximately six to nine member evaluations per day
Travel between member residences throughout the assigned county coverage area
This role does not include prescribing medication, ordering laboratory testing, or altering a member's existing treatment regimen
Qualifications
Active Iowa medical license required; license must be in hand
DEA registration not required for this role; no prescribing or diagnosing
Working Hours
Flexible scheduling available Monday through Sunday
No nights or weekends required
No call required
