Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Hartford, Connecticut. This is an in-home health evaluation opportunity covering a multi-region territory across central and northwestern Connecticut, with a flexible, provider-set schedule. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Complete a medication and medical history review at each visit
Perform a physical evaluation in the plan member's home
Document findings on a pre-populated, patient-specific form provided for each evaluation
Average of 6-9 in-home evaluations per day
Assessment-only scope - no prescribing, no lab ordering, and no changes to the member's current treatment regimen
Provide coverage across three of Connecticut's nine planning regions, which serve as the state's county-equivalents:
Capitol - Hartford, New Britain, West Hartford, East Hartford, Manchester, Enfield, Southington, Windsor, Newington, Glastonbury, Farmington, Vernon, and surrounding towns
Lower Connecticut River Valley - Middletown, Old Saybrook, Clinton, Cromwell, Portland, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Old Lyme, Durham, and surrounding towns
Northwest Hills - Torrington, Winsted, Litchfield, New Hartford, Salisbury, Kent, Sharon, Harwinton, Goshen, and surrounding towns
Qualifications
Active Connecticut medical license required; license must be in hand
DEA not required for this role
Working Hours
Day shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
No nights or weekends required
No call required
