Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in New London, Connecticut. This is an in-home health evaluation opportunity covering a multi-region territory across eastern Connecticut, with a flexible, provider-set schedule. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Complete a medication and medical history review at each visit
Perform a physical evaluation in the plan member's home
Document findings on a pre-populated, patient-specific form provided for each evaluation
Average of 6-9 in-home evaluations per day
Assessment-only scope - no prescribing, no lab ordering, and no changes to the member's current treatment regimen
Provide coverage across two of Connecticut's nine planning regions, which serve as the state's county-equivalents:
Southeastern Connecticut - Norwich, New London, Groton, Willimantic, Stonington, Waterford, Montville, East Lyme, Colchester, and surrounding towns
Northeastern Connecticut - Putnam, Danielson, Plainfield, Thompson, Woodstock, Brooklyn, Pomfret, and surrounding towns
Qualifications
Active Connecticut medical license required; license must be in hand
DEA not required for this role
Working Hours
Day shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
No nights or weekends required
No call required
