Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is an in-home health evaluation opportunity covering a multi-region territory across southwestern Connecticut, with a flexible, provider-set schedule. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Complete a medication and medical history review at each visit
Perform a physical evaluation in the plan member's home
Document findings on a pre-populated, patient-specific form provided for each evaluation
Average of 6-9 in-home evaluations per day
Assessment-only scope - no prescribing, no lab ordering, and no changes to the member's current treatment regimen
Provide coverage across three of Connecticut's nine planning regions, which serve as the state's county-equivalents:
Greater Bridgeport - Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Monroe, Easton
Naugatuck Valley - Waterbury, Bristol, Shelton, Naugatuck, Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Watertown, and surrounding towns
Western Connecticut - Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, Greenwich, Westport, New Canaan, Ridgefield, New Milford, and surrounding towns
Qualifications
Active Connecticut medical license required; license must be in hand
DEA not required for this role
Working Hours
Day shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
No nights or weekends required
No call required
