We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a home health opportunity conducting pre-scheduled in-home health evaluations for health plan members across a defined coverage area. Please see below for more information.
- Setting: Home health - in-home health evaluations
- Coverage area: Esmeralda, Lincoln and Nye Counties
- Assignments are made by county; applicants should indicate which county they are applying for
Job Responsibilities
Complete a medication and medical history review and a physical evaluation in the plan member's home
Document each evaluation using a pre-populated, patient-specific form provided for the visit
Manage a clinical scope of approximately six to nine visits per day
Travel to member residences within the assigned county
This role does not involve prescribing medication, ordering laboratory tests or altering a member's current treatment regimen
Qualifications
Active Nevada medical license required; license must be in hand at time of submittal
Medicaid credentialed - this position is open only to providers who already hold active Medicaid credentialing
DEA registration is not required for this role
New graduates are accepted
Working Hours
Day shifts; no nights or weekends required
No call required
Scheduling is coordinated directly between the provider and the client
