Family Medicine - Program Director/Core Faculty in Detroit Full-Time & Permanent

• Our exceptional training includes clinical experience at Grand River Health Center, a family practice that has served the Detroit community for nearly 30 years.
• All rotations take place within the health system, a nationally recognized health care system that serves patients and families throughout Michigan and beyond.
• M-F Schedule 8AM to 5PM, no weekend requirements; Practice Call is shared 1 Day per week for resident precepting, clinical supervision 1 Day per week maintaining personal clinical practice/patient panel .5 Day per week for didactics, lectures, curriculum development 2.5 Days per week admin responsibilities
• Participate in supervisory and teaching responsibilities for residents in an outpatient setting
• Serve as an advisor and role model for Family Medicine residents
• Participate in recruiting new residents into the program
• Maintain scholarly activity in accordance with ACGME requirements
• Participate in resident journal clubs
• Mentor residents on their senior projects and participate in research studies
• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting Requirements:
• DEA certificate
• Board certification with the American Board of Family Medicine
• Maintain CME
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain it within 3 months of hire
• Knowledge of the principles and practice of preventive medicine
• Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to medicine and to community health centers
• 3-5 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine
• Experience with outpatient medical faculty preferred
