Hospitalist Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)
Location: Arizona
Schedule: Block schedule with day rounding and nocturnist coverage; schedule varies
Position Overview
Hospital medicine coverage supporting adult inpatient care in a community acute care hospital. Providers should be comfortable with independent clinical decision making and collaborating with specialty services.
Clinical Scope
Inpatient rounding and admissions
Nocturnist coverage responsibilities may include admissions and cross coverage
EKG interpretation competency required
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Arizona medical license
Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (per site)
DEA registered to Arizona address if required for the role
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify
Facility and Systems
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing and Onboarding
Credentialing may require recent case logs and CME documentation
