Position Overview
A highly respected and established primary care practice in Mechanicsville, Virginia is seeking an experienced Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join a growing team. Located on the campus of a regional medical center, this opportunity offers flexible scheduling, strong clinical support, a loyal multi-generational patient base, and continued growth driven by expanding residential and retirement communities.
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
* Completion of a U.S.-based Residency Program
* Minimum of 2 years outpatient primary care experience required
* Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure
* Strong commitment to relationship-based primary care
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Position Highlights
* Established primary care practice with more than 40 years of community presence
* Join a team of:
* 2 Family Medicine Physicians
* 1 Nurse Practitioner
* Flexible employment options:
* Full-Time
* 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week)
* Flexible scheduling:
* Five 8-hour days, or
* Four 10-hour days
* 100% outpatient practice
* Strong referral relationships throughout the community
* Multi-generational patient population
Clinical Responsibilities
* Preventive care and wellness visits
* Acute and chronic disease management
* Well-child examinations
* Hospital follow-up visits
* Pre-operative evaluations
* New patient consultations
* Routine primary care services
* Basic office-based procedures
Schedule & Call
* Flexible work schedule
* Full-Time or 0.8 FTE options available
* Average patient volume:
* 20 Patients Per Day after ramp-up
* Shared call among 10 providers
* Approximately:
* 3–4 call days every fourth week
* Outpatient-only practice
* No hospital responsibilities
