An excellent locum tenens opportunity is available for a Family Medicine Physician in Saint Stephen, South Carolina. This outpatient primary care role offers a highly desirable 4-day work week with consistent daytime hours and no call responsibilities.
The provider will serve as the sole physician in clinic, caring for a primarily older patient population ages 12 and above. Supported by a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), the physician will provide comprehensive preventive, chronic, and acute care in a patient-focused clinic environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a physician seeking schedule flexibility, outpatient-only care, and strong work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide preventive, chronic disease, and acute care management
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate patient care services
• Manage follow-up visits, medication management, and preventive screenings
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EMR system
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on wellness and long-term health outcomes
Qualifications
• Active South Carolina medical license required (SC license only)
• Fellowship required
• Family Medicine experience preferred
• Ability to work independently as the sole physician in clinic
• Clean background and no malpractice history required for temporary privileges
Working Hours
• 8-Hour Day Shifts
• 1 Hour Unpaid Lunch
