Job description
Family Medicine Physician - Outpatient (Northeastern North Carolina)
Are you looking for a medical home where you can build deep roots without sacrificing your work-life balance? We are a well-established Community Health Center that has served Northeastern North Carolina for over 50 years. We are seeking passionate Family Medicine physicians to join our mission-driven team.
Whether you are a new graduate seeking mentorship or an experienced provider looking for a sustainable "forever" practice, we offer a "Total Compensation" package designed to reward your commitment and your time.
Why Consider This Practice?
- Unrivaled Flexibility: We don't just talk about work-life balance; we build it. Choose from traditional 5-day weeks or creative scheduling (e.g., three 12-hour shifts or 0.5 FTE roles).
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $100,000 for a 5-year commitment (tiered options for 3 and 4 years).
- Base Salary: Guaranteed base with additional Production & Quality Bonuses paid quarterly.
- Retention Rewards: We value longevity and offer annual COLA and performance adjustments.
- Student Loan Freedom: High HPSA score (22) for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment. For those without loans, ask about the NC High Needs Service Bonus.
- Workflow Support: We are actively investing in AI technology and dedicated nursing staff for task management (prescription refills, document sorting) so you can focus on patients, not paperwork.
- Housing Solutions: The organization owns local condos-perfect for physicians who want to commute from the Raleigh/Durham or Charlotte areas for their shift block and stay on-site at no cost.
Clinical Environment
- Setting: 100% Outpatient only. No hospital call.
- Volume: Average of 18-20 patients per day.
- Support: Work alongside a robust team of APPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and LCSWs.
- Mentorship: Opportunities to teach within our Rural Residency Program.
- Admin Time: Dedicated 4 hours of administrative time per week (at home or in-office).
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- A "Team-First" mentality and a passion for rural/underserved healthcare.
- Willingness to provide supervision for 1-2 APPs (stipend provided).
The Location
Experience the charm of Northeastern North Carolina. Enjoy a low cost of living, easy access to Lake Gaston and the Roanoke River for outdoor recreation, and a short drive to the cultural hubs of the Research Triangle (Raleigh/Durham).
